Retailers benefit from a POS system that is easy to use and enables cashiers to ring up sales fast so the lines stay short. Ringing up an item is as simple as scanning its bar code, or touching its button of a touch screen if it does not have a bar code. Sale and specialty pricing are automatically calculated by the POS. Cash Register Express is designed to require the least amount of touches necessary to ring up a customer, and performs faster than a traditional cash register. Quick tender keys make cash transactions fast, and payment by credit card and gift card is as simple as swiping the card -- no buttons required. Payment by other tender types such as pin debit, EBT and checks are also supported.

Version 12.5 of Cash Register Express also features the
ability to e-mail receipts to your customers, providing a“green” alternative to traditional
printed receipts. Retailers and restaurateurs can also e-mail purchase orders to vendors.

Employee Labor Scheduler

A new labor scheduler has been added to CRE, making it simple to schedule mployees for work. The new interface makes it easier to schedule, and also offers a quick snapshot of how many employees are working, as well as what job roles they are working that day. Schedules
can be printed for employees, or copied from previous weeks so they don’t have to be recreated from scratch. A new Labor Cost Percentage Report has been added to help business owners make more informed decisions regarding how much labor to schedule, helping reduce costs.

Kitchen printing option added where in addition to printing one kitchen parent receipt for everything, it can also
break it down and print each item individually. This is very useful in restaurants, where the head chef can easily
delegate out individual items to other personnel.
New employee permission added – previously we had a blanket “price change” permission, we now have a specific
permission that applies to “negative price changes” (changing something to a negative dollar amount). This
introduces yet more flexibility in the business security policy.
Bulk pricing (1 for $5, 3 for $10) could previously be set only by dollar amount. Now they can be set by percentage
as well.
Customer accounts can now have a picture associated with them.

Cash Register Express (and Restaurant Pro Express) POS software has been designed to make inventory control a snap. You may add an item that has a bar code and track its cost, price, in stock level, which department it belongs to, which vendor it comes from as well as many other features like discount levels, size and color matrices, sale and special pricing and many more features.

Cash Register Express, with its elaborate inventory control and vendor information, has built-in features to make purchase orders easy. For each inventory item, you can assign a vendor, set a reorder level and a reorder quantity. You can further order items individually or by a case.

A successful business is one that keeps on top of their inventory levels. You no longer have to ruffle through papers and files to figure out where your inventory needs to be ordered from or to figure out how much of an item you have to order. With Cash Register Express' Purchase Order section, you can generate a brand new purchase order by narrowing your search of items to a particular vendor. Or, you can just add all the items that have fallen below the reorder level at a touch of a button.

We have programmed into Cash Register Express the most useful reports to any business. As a business owner, it is important to be on top of your sales figures, costs and inventory levels. With lots of reports and its ease of use, Cash Register Express has become the system of choice of tens of thousands of business owners.

The Cash Register Express reporting screen has been designed with ease-of-use in mind. You can choose the type of reports by the click of a button, choose the date and time range you would like data for and further narrow your report by adding criteria. When you select a report, a small description of what will be displayed will appear on the reporting screen as well. Select to view a report by store id (with the Host Module), cashier id, customer, vendor, department or item.

Whether you are a single convenience store or a chain of restaurants, Cash Register Express' reporting screen will have the information you need. You may choose among sales, inventory, customer, vendor, restaurant based, employee and rental reports. Using Cash Register Express' Host Module for a multi-store scenario, you will be able to see these reports for each individual store as well as the entire operation.
